What do we mean when we say “optimized cleaning”? Optimized Cleaning Services

Services that fall into our optimized cleaning category are intended to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases, both bacterial and viral.  Some of our optimized cleaning services include high-touch surface disinfection, electrostatic application, broad disinfection, antimicrobial coating, and ATP testing.

Up until now we have had to research and create our own protocols for sanitizing surfaces in commercial spaces.  We accomplished this using scientific, institutional, educational and medical research to create our own compendium and production protocols.  We have also received general guidelines and procedural information from all our classwork with the IICRC over the years. 

There is a standard being drafted titled BSR/IICRC S410 Standard for Infection Control During Professional Cleaning and Maintenance of the Commercial Built Environment. We are awaiting the draft work to conclude before we are able to review and comment on this standard.  Once the BSR (Board of Standards Review) passes approval of the standard, it receives the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) final approval.  From there our accredited classwork can begin on this subject.  https://iicrc.org/s410/ 

Disinfectants

Applying disinfectants daily isn’t just a process for medical clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals and clean rooms anymore.  The focus now, more than ever, is on the health and wellness of the spaces people occupy.  People are far more likely to frequent your space if they can feel good about how it’s maintained.

With all of the accredited training we receive on everything from blood-borne pathogens to microbial growth like fungus, we have a unique understanding of all the things we can’t see.  We don’t trust just anyone to handle volatile chemicals.  They can present a danger when not handled properly.  It requires specialized training and licensure to safely handle and choose the correct disinfectant or biological control solutions for the task at hand.  High-touch surfaces like phones, doorknobs, handles, kitchen appliances, light switches, countertops, and keyboards can be like petri dishes, harboring microorganisms from all the different people who touch them. We offer one-time and ongoing disinfection services to keep all your high touch surfaces safe and clean.

Have a large space or facility? We also provide one-time, monthly, or quarterly broad disinfection services intended to inhibit the multiplication of microorganisms.  Once our technicians dawn the appropriate personal protective equipment, we then use HVLP sprayers and electrostatic sprayers, for efficient application to clean surfaces.  This broad disinfection service is ideal for large to industrial scale applications.

Antimicrobial Coating

In addition to inhibiting or removing microorganisms from facilities, we offer preemptive services like antimicrobial coating. Applying antimicrobial coating to surfaces can help prevent microorganisms from taking up residence on them. These coatings have the potential to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission by slowing or stopping cellular reproduction.  These products are non-staining and non-leeching so you can feel safe touching any surface it’s applied to.

ATP Testing

After we apply a disinfectant or an antimicrobial coating, we use ATP testing to measure whether there is any residual biological matter on the surface we have cleaned. This allows us to ensure that our services have been thorough enough to mitigate potential disease transmission.  This testing can be integrated in to any cleaning program, giving you peace of mind that your spaces remain safe for the people that use them.
